For several years now there has been a rising star in the Acoustic Guitar world. Doyle Dykes has proven that with dedication, hard work, and lightning fast fingers, acoustic notoriety can be achieved.
With over 5 albums to his credit, Doyle Dykes has etched a niche with Bluegrass, Country, and Gospel fans. Starting out as an electric guitar player with the likes of "The Stamps Quartet," and "The Grand Ole Opre's" own Grandpa Jones, Doyle eventually found a love and passion for the Acoustic Guitar.
Now working as a solo artist Doyle continues to prove his mastery of the steel string acoustic. Just listening to albums such as his newly released "Country Fried Pickin," you can hear a unique style that is both ground breaking and classic all at the same time. On songs such as the title track Country Fried Pickin' your jaw will drop as you here the mastery and fines that Doyle displays. Also featured on the album are artists such as Duane Eddy, Paul Franklin, Stuart Duncan, Jimmy Capps, Dave Pomeroy, and Steve Turner.
Over the years Doyle has put together a collection of albums that run the gamut of toe tapping Bluegrass, Country, Classical, Flamenco and Worship music. Doyle seems comfortable in all settings. You will also find that no time is lost to simply showing off ability, all of the songs have great depth, feeling, and a wonderful sense of who he is as a musician. At the same time, his obvious talent rings through like a bell.
